CHATHAM CENTRE

SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS

Part of a $7M renovation of the 10-story, 205,000-square-foot office building, the recently renovated lobby at the Chatham Centre received a significant upgrade designed by Chicago-based D+K Architects. Complementing the scale of the space, elongated tubular steel wall plates layered with wood accents, anchor custom-wall mounted light fixtures along the perimeter of the lobby. Spun aluminum hemispherical shades drop gracefully from arched arms fabricated from roll-formed rectangular tubing. Their black semi-gloss powdercoat finish contrasts with the warm wood tones and live plants, while picking up tones of the terrazzo floor.
